Family Support and Outreach Worker x 2

YMCA Bournemouth is looking for two Family Support and Outreach Workers to provide preventative support services for children and families to keep them safe and improve life chances.  The post-holder will provide intervention strategies to those in greatest need, parenting provision, one-to-one support in the home and the Centre and caseload management to ensure close monitoring of interventions and their outcomes.

A qualification relevant to working with children and/or families in the community is required; e.g. NNEB, Youth & Community Work, Social Work, Teaching, Volunteering, Childminding, EY Qualification Level 3.

Each vacancy is for 22.5 hours per week, but there must be recognition of the need for flexibility, including some unsocial hours as necessary.

Salary: YMCA Bournemouth Grade 5 – £16,549 to £22,510 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Relief Play Worker x 4

YMCA Bournemouth is looking to recruit four Play Workers to be essential members of a mobile team of Play Workers delivering a high quality service within the aims and purposes of the YMCA and Dorset County short breaks agreement to run Play Schemes for children and Young People with severe complex needs at various settings throughout Dorset during the Summer and Easter holidays and a couple of Christmas Parties.

The post-holders will be expected to help support plans and adapt the provision according to the young people that attend each session and ensure we continue to add value to young lives by providing experiences that challenge, enable and develop the individual.

These vacancies are for Relief work, on a zero hours contract.

Salary: YMCA Bournemouth Grade 5 – £16,549 – £22,510 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Relief Caretaker

YMCA Bournemouth are looking for a Relief Caretaker to provide caretaking duties at the Stourvale Centre to ensure functions and events at the Centre are set up and available to customers as appropriate. The post holder will be required to clean, clear and close the Centre as required and will need to ensure a safe and secure environment.

The hours will vary due to demand/seasons and type of events. The core need will be evenings 18.00 to 21.00, Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. It is likely to be split sessions based upon a weekly schedule of activities and events.

Salary: YMCA Bournemouth Grade 4 – £7.85 per hour, on a zero hours contract.

Relief Child Contact Centre Practitioner

YMCA Bournemouth are looking for a Relief Children’s Contact Centre Practitioner, to organise, supervise, record and assess child contact with responsibility for enforcement of the Association’s Safeguarding Policies and procedures, ensuring child protection is a priority. The job-holder will also need to function as a member of the team carrying out duties and responsibilities required for the day to day running of the service.

The following qualifications are required: Safeguarding/Child Protection L3 qualification within the last 2 years; working towards minimum NVQ L3 (or equivalent) in relevant field related to work such as Early Years, Education, Family Support, Social Work and/or Health; minimum of three years’ experience in working with children or caring for children within a statutory setting or working in a Community work setting.

This vacancy is for relief work ‘as and when agreed’ on a weekly basis, and there must be recognition of the need for flexibility and some unsocial hours may need to be worked.

Salary: YMCA Bournemouth Grade 5 – £7.80 – £10.52 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
