Relief Child Contact Centre Practitioner
YMCA Bournemouth are looking for a Relief Children’s Contact Centre Practitioner, to organise, supervise, record and assess child contact with responsibility for enforcement of the Association’s Safeguarding Policies and procedures, ensuring child protection is a
priority. The job-holder will also need to function as a member of the team carrying out duties and responsibilities required for the day to day running of the service.
The following qualifications are required: Safeguarding/Child Protection L3 qualification within the last 2 years; working towards minimum NVQ L3 (or equivalent) in relevant field related to work such as Early Years, Education, Family Support, Social Work and/or Health; minimum of three years’ experience in working with children or caring for children within a statutory setting or working in a Community work setting.
This vacancy is for relief work ‘as and when agreed’ on a weekly basis, and there must be recognition of the need for flexibility and some unsocial hours may need to be worked.
Salary: YMCA Bournemouth Grade 5 – £7.96 – £10.82 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
YMCA Bournemouth undertakes to pay all staff aged 21 and over at least the National Living Wage. Employment will be subject to satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
