Assistant Youth Worker (Chatterbox Project)

YMCA Bournemouth is looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Assistant Youth Worker to work with young people, volunteers and staff from The Chatterbox Project; a youth action project led by disabled young people aged 11-25 years.

The role is to assist young people from the project in delivering and evaluating positive, preventative and early help activities which enhances their well-being as well as to engage and support disabled young people in developing their own youth action projects within sessions.

The post-holder will be a team-player with relevant experience or a keen interest in youth work and excellent people skills.

This vacancy is for 6 hours per week; and the worker will need to work on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5.30-8.30pm in Townsend and Pokesdown Youth Centre.

Salary: YMCA Bournemouth Grade 5: £16,549 – £22,510 per annum, pro rata,dependent on experience and qualifications.
