TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) are a multi-cultural peer support and youth action group who meet to tackle the issues facing young people from black and ethnic minority groups living in Bournemouth. TEAM is for young people aged 11-16. They meet every week to campaign around issues to do with bullying and racism.
They organise conferences and events for other young people as well as taking part in activities together such as football tournaments, music workshops, art exhibitions and weekend residentials.

Kick it Out 2016 – 10th year raising awareness of racism in football
Kick it out is an annual event to campaign against racism and bullying in the community organised by YMCA Bournemouth’s youth project TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More).
The event was held at Bourne Academy School and brought together over eighty young people celebrating the 10th anniversary of helping to kick racism out of football.
Boys and girls from schools all over Bournemouth participated in different workshops, football skills games and mini tournaments.
In the afternoon, Barry Squires and Andy Boland; Football Coaches from Bournemouth University organised outdoor football related activities including a speed reaction wall, 3v3 skills arena, AFCB Powerstrike and mixed football tournament.
The event was supported by AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust, SportBU and RELAYS ambassadors. A big thank you to Kick it Out for sponsoring the event and California Fried Chicken for providing food on the day.

TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) is introducing a brand new, exciting peer mentoring project where we are planning to train selected TEAM members to become mentors for other young people in our community.
The mentors will receive a nationally recognised AQA award for their training and the peer mentoring scheme is currently working towards an official approval from the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation.
The peer mentors will be matched with another young person using our comprehensive matching process designed to pair young people based on their backgrounds and needs. Initially, the project is just going to involve BME young people from TEAM but we are hoping to expand the project and include other members of the community in the near future.
If you’re aged 13-19 and interested in being a Peer Mentor, email email@example.com or ring 07973233190.
