We believe every young person should have someone they can trust
We offer many opportunities that reach out and engage with young people across Dorset. Providing youth action projects run by young people with disabilities, open access youth clubs and children’s projects run by the community.
We recognise achievements through our ‘Young Leaders Scheme’ and AQA Unit Awards Scheme.
We are proud to have achieved the Ambition Quality Bronze national kitemark recognising safe, good quality youth provision.
We are committed to reaching out and engaging with children and young people.
We do this through the provision of open access youth clubs offering a range of activities in Townsend and coming soon in Pokesdown. The Townsend Children’s Project with open access children’s clubs and the Chatterbox youth action project run by young people with disabilities.
``The Chatterboxes changed my life. When once I was depressed and disliked my disability, autism, I’m now a multi-award winning autism activist who loves my disability BECAUSE this charity supported me to embrace and accept my autism and taught me skills and self-belief that I never before thought possible.
``Every young person blossoms in The Chatterboxes' care, coming on in leaps and bounds, within the supportive care and structure of this wonderful community.``
