Walking

Walk down to the beach just five minutes from Sandyholme, turn left or right and you’ll be on the South West Coast Path and on the edge of an amazing experience. There are 630 miles of superb coastline which make up the longest National Trail in the UK. The heritage, wildlife, geology and scenery along the way are truly inspirational. Our favourite walk is a three-mile round trip to Old Harry Rocks.

Studland Bay

A four-mile stretch of golden, sandy beach with views of Old Harry Rocks. Ideal for watersports and the heathland behind it is a haven for natural wildlife.

Corfe Castle

Discover 1000 years of this romantic castle’s history as both a royal palace and fortress. With fallen walls and secret places, there are tales of treachery and treason around every corner.

Swanage

Visit Swanage for a traditional seaside town experience. You may choose to start the day with a visit to Swanage Railway where you can see or even take a ride in a heritage steam engine. Afterwards you could take a stroll through the town visiting the many gift shops before enjoying an ice cream and a walk along the promenade. The perfect end to the day would be to taste the local seaside catch from some of the best fish and chip shops in the UK.
