Job duties:

  • To complete an 18-month placement, studying a Level 2 Leisure Team Member Qualification, alongside completing Full-Time work as desired by the association. At the end of the qualification, you will be National Lifeguard Qualified, will achieve a STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming, STA Award in Teaching Swimming and Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing.
  • To work within a Rota basis, ensuring all shifts and events are covered. The Recreational Assistant position will involve working across several different Dryside & Wetside sporting activities as and when required and assigned to do so Altering of the hall and studio for the next required sport/activity.
  • To supervise the Swimming Pool for the safety of the public upon completion of an National Pool Lifeguard Qualification To attend staff training / meetings when required. General housekeeping covering stores, fire exits, public areas, changing rooms, toilets etc.
  • To always ensure that you show a commitment, and willingness, to work as, and in, A team environment to assist in moving the business forward and to deal with the various Operational issues that arise.
  • To assist and play one’s part in ensuring a ‘customer friendly’ and professional approach when delivering all programmes/activities and services.
  • To respond enthusiastically / professionally to any areas of activity assigned by Management. To play an integral part in assisting with the delivery of quality coaching wetside & dryside /play sessions for the benefit of the Centre.
  • To work towards developing one’s own range of coaching duties by further qualifications/workshops/seminars and attend compulsory meetings when required, as discussed, and agreed by the Centre Manager.

 

Salary (full-time) £15,704.04 per annum / £7.55 per hour

The available role is for 40 hours per week working 4 days in the week and a weekend shift.
